“SUNSHINE STATE” OUT JULY 4TH

Tampa Band’s Video to Premiere on July 4th with Celebration at St. Pete’s Toasted Monkey

June 15, 2022, (Tampa, FL) – The Soul Circus Cowboys, a southern rock band led by Brandon native Billy McKnight, are proud to announce the release of their newest single “Sunshine State” taken from their recently released ROLLING ACROSS AMERICA. The band will share the track and full video on July 4th and celebrate with a performance at St. Pete Beach’s famous Toasted Monkey at 2pm. In advance of the show, Soul Circus Cowboys will perform LIVE on CBS/Channel 10’s Great Day LIVE on June 30th.

In a recent interview McKnight said, “We wanted to write about Florida (and) how much fun it is to live here. The lifestyle and the “Sunshine State” came to mind.”

The song is a tribute to the bands home state with the lyrics “There’s a Summer Moon all year round, sunrise, sunset, blues skies as blue as it gets, Margarita laid back soaking up Rays, just another day in the Sunshine State.”

Formed in Tampa by lead singer and songwriter Billy McKnight in 2009 and produced by Grammy Award-Winning Songwriter Frank Myers and engineered by Spencer Badham, who also serves as studio manager for Clearwaters’ Clear Track Studios.
